Taco Seasoning

Every so often, I come across a recipe calling for taco seasoning. I usually bypass the recipe and look for something else. Why? Because I don’t understand the point of taco seasoning. Seriously, what is the point of this seasoning? To make my tacos taste more like tacos? To make my queso more mexicany?

And then I looked at the ingredients in taco seasoning. Then I started wondering why on earth am I going to pay a whopping 52 cents when I literally have everything I need to make taco seasoning in my pantry. Why pay money for it? I mean, that’s insane. All I have to do is measure and mix together and I’m done. That’s it. Why do people pay for it? Why?

And it primarily consist of the herbs you would normally put in to give food that authentic Mexican flavor.

So here to saving 52 cents without tax. Might not seem like a lot, but still. It adds up.
